RJT Put together a monochromatic home screen, here is how you put it up:

* You need to have:

1. A Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the JellyBro ROM
2. The DarkJelly white-on-black theme
3. Nova Launcher Prime for the launcher
4. The DroidIcon icon pack
5. Simple Text Icon Creator for the main home screen icons

RJT comments on how he uses it:

I use a single home screen, as I find clutter annoying, and it’s easy to make access to all of your applications a breeze without cluttering your desktop. I hate widgets, so I didn’t use any.

For the main wallpaper, all that was done was a simple gradient layer in Photoshop duplicated with texture overlay, and text added on top. An easy way to ensure you create wallpaper that matches up with your home screens grid layout is simply to snap a screenshot of your phone while “developer options->show layout bounds” is enabled. This will also provide you an easy template should you wish to alter the background in the future.

The notification panel simply users power controls (baked into the ROM/theme), which is also responsible for the inverted applications.
